The Loyal Legion Memorial Fund of the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States (LLMF), though loosely affiliated with the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States, is a separate and distinct trust fund entity granted Sec. 501(c)(3) status under the Internal Revenue Code. It exists as the philanthropic vehicle by which the Order, as a whole, can advance its historical and educational mission.
The LLMF underwrites the cost of producing and distributing the Loyal Legion Historical Journal; provides financial backing for commemorative events; and makes contributions to worthy organizations across the country, such as the American Battlefield Trust, the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Foundation, and the Gettysburg Foundation, that share the LLMF’s interests and goals.
